hello i was selling a car on ebay and had a numerous amount of bids and interest, when the bidding ended, i requested £300 deposit from the winning bidder to secure the car. the winner accepted and paid through paypal, the winner was suppose to collect within 3 days but due to weather didnt and i held onto the car for a further 2 weeks, declining all other buyers as the car was "sold".
the winner came to pick up the car and has said that there not happy with there purchase and request there money back.
this was a private auction, i informed the winner about everything i knew and there was pictures to prove. the winner is now saying we didnt inform them of a small dent and is giving me one week to pay back the deposit, otherwise there going to start legal action. there was pictures to prove this.do i have to pay the deposit back?

I would say no. You have been very reasonable in holding the car all that time for them. You would have been within your rights to sell it to someone else. But I'm not a legal expert.
