I totaled my toyota 4runner. I'm wondering the best way to get the most value out of it?

Question:
The engine runs fine but the key igniter doesn't work. It has 179000 miles on it. The speakers still work, I think they may be stock though. Seats are all good. What's the best way to get its total value if i talk to a junk yard?

Answers:

Under what conditions can a consumer cancel an automobile purchase in Illinois ?

Have some wrecking yards look at it,take the best offer. What they give you for it will depend on the useable parts on it.You probably wont get top dollar because of the high milage.

I want a car thats cheap to insure and good on petrol but I want it to look nice (I'm a girl!)?

I had an old Dodge Ram P/U truck with a slant six running on it's last legs that I sold to a junk yard for $100. It wasn't worth that much to begin with. It didn't have anything fancy in it at all! As a matter of fact, it still had the clutch pedal dangling after whoever had it before me turned it into an automatic. Junk yards will not give that much for your vehicle at all. If it's possible, maybe you can part it out yourself and sell each part on ebay. That's what I would do and that's the same concept as if it were to sit in a junk yard. The junk yard would be making a killing on your Toyota while they just give you a couple hundred dollars to shoo you away. Hope you find a solution!
