Question:
i've never bought a new car before, can I or should I try to talk them down on the price? If so, how do I go about doing that?
Answers:
Any car salesman can answer this for me?
Yes you can talk them down if you know what your negotiating, most consumers dont having done little if any homework prior to entering a dealership and will pay the price...Go to this webpge http://www.usedcartips.org/beforeshop.ht... you will see a banner that says edmonds.com click on it enter your information with 2 or 3 dealers its free and best part is no hazzle lowest price on the vehicle guaranteed...
You now know entering the dealership in question what the best price you been offered, if their price is higher - show your hand, and simply say, this is my best offer, beat it and you got my business...

It's a touchy subject!
Question about selling a car privately?
The criteria to DISCOUNTING a new car is always if it's a hot seller or not.
I am buying a car in the next few weeks. What do you think of the G35 coupe?
If you're looking for a (example) Ford Mustang (which sells very quickly) you can not really discount them much. If it's a slow selling car... you can negotiate!
.
Well it depends on the car really and if the dealer is desperate to make a deal your the boss don't let them pressure you into anything especially if your financing. if they tell you a payment of 550 a month lets just sit there like your stupid until they offer you 535 be a hard sale and then still say your not sure maybe they'll go down to 500 . Your doing them a favor not the other way around unless your credit is horrible.
just go to this site, make them match the price or beat it... if they want call this company they can sell you the car

I know that I am not directly answering your question but I don't know your situation but the last days of the year is when any and all dealers are willing to bargain with you because they want all the present years off the lost before the new year comes in. Because of this maybe hopefully you can wait and also go and check out auto scoop.com with Adam Goldfein he has a whole lot of advise. They broadcast here in Atlanta every Saturday I want to say in Atlanta but it is a syndicated show. There is a section where you can ask him an expert on what he thinks as well and you could possibly find a better deal than what you have in front of you!More Questions & Answers ...
