Question:
I am looking to buy a 2007 honda CRV kbb says The MSRP is 21,195 and invoice 19,061 what does the dealer pay?? and how much can i get them down??? HELP!!
Answers:
Selling a vehicle.?
14,000!!? Wow, that number is skewed. Don't be fooled by what "invoice" price is. A dealership doesn't pay that for its vehicle. Think about it, why would a dealership sells something for invoice, when they aren't going to profit. A dealership gets a 3% kickback generally called 'holdback". If you take the MSRP of the vehicel, and then multiply that by .03, you get what under invoice the dealership actually pays for the car. In this case, if MSRP is 21,195, and 3% of that is roughly 635.00, take that amount off of invoice of 19061. You come up with 18426. The dealership probably paid somewhere in this general area. All in All though, if you can get a Honda dealership to sell you a brand new CRV for anywhere near the area of invoice, take the deal and run, you will be one of the few..Good luck.
