I wouldn't simply because you still have a portion of the manufacturer's warranty remaining to find any problems. If you don't run into any problems within the next 6,000 miles, you should be in pretty good shape for the next 64,000 miles. And if anything major does happen, you can use that $1,500 (+ finance charges) you have saved by not buying the extended warranty, to either fix any unlikely but possible future problems or towards getting a new vehicle.

Now if you were buying a used FORD, I'd definately recommend the warranty... but not for Honda.

i own a shop,and it would be if the motor or transmission went out on it other wise that's a lot of money to pay for a warranty you may never need,i bought one ,and i now have 95 thousand on it,and haven't used it yet,so looks like I'm going to loose the 1200 i paid,but most people buy it for piece of mind,this way they know there covered just in case something does happen,but even with the warranty they,ll still try and charge you a certain amount for the repairs ,good luck i hope this help,s.
