Who would win in a 400, stock 07 Cobalt SS, or stock 07 Civic si?
Not to mention that nothing with insurance or anything else paperwork wise is supposed to go through until you are approved. The first thing ANY reputable dealer does is confirm the sale, take a deposit, you fill out the credit app and it is run. If it comes back no good, then they either work something out with another creditor or you get your deposit back and leave. Nothing further should ever be done until those few steps are taken care of.

When the dealership ran your credit history, they assumed you would be financed with their lending institutions. It turns out that you were denied credit by the banks, therefore that kills the deal. you should get back your down payment, although it sounds like you had the new car for a few days and the dealer is charging for the time out and mileage...If your check has not yet cleared the bank, you can always put a stop payment on it...Call your states dealer board if there are continuing problems. Good luck
