My husband needs a new (used) car!?

Question:
Ok my husband got a new job and has to commute now for work! We need a good gas saver but can not afford a new car! What is a good reliable car that is easy to maintain and good with gas? Are their any key things we should look for? He also insists on a manual! Also are their good websites besides ebay motors to look for quality used cars!

What's the best new convertible hardtop on the market between $35k & $65k?

go find yourself a carmax around your area and start from there. if you want to do private dealers go to a 7-11 and get a autotrader for .99 cents and look there. a good car would be like a honda civic or a toyota. japanese cars last forever and saves gas. for honda's just make sure it doesnt have vtec, it kills gas and for toyota samething but its called vvti. those are gas killers. things to look for, make sure the frame is good and the car has no salvage title. meaning at any kinda of salvage because the resale value is alot lower. you will wanna look for something that is not leaking oil from the block or from the head. and for 5spd tranny make sure the syncros are not grinding. for auto tranny make sure the torque converter is shifting right, meaning it doesnt jolt when it goes to a higher gear.
