Five (5) per year. The sixth one is considered enough by the state to feel that you are serious enough to be a used car dealer. And it also is required by the state that a registered used car dealer sell six (6) or more units to be eligible for license renewal the next year. That figure is prorated throughout the year, but just remember 6 to be a dealer (provided you match other qualifications) or 5 if you want to fly under the radar. I've been a used car dealer in Missouri in time past and am toying with the idea of getting back into it. Not sure if I want to put up with the hassel again. Can be a fun business at times.
