I'm trying to buy a car cheap.. it's my first car. I found a cheap Toyota Camry ('92) and I don't see any major problems with it. My older sister has a '92 Toyota Camry actually, but hers only has 60K miles on it because she bought it from her boyfriend's grandparents. However, this one I'm looking at has a little over 200K. Now usually, I'd just skip over this car because that's way more miles than I can deal with. But considering it's a Toyota Camry, should I go with it? Keep in mind - it's only $1350. There's nothing else wrong with it, really. There's a few minor scratches/bumps, but I can deal with it. I really only need the car for another year and a half before I go to college... Is 200K too much?

my girlfriend has a 92 tercel with nearly 300,000 km(approx 200,000miles) on it and it is still good. I saw an identical car and I thought it was a good deal for $3000.00
I would definitely take it to a mechanic that you trust and ask them what they think. they can check the compression and wheel bearings etc.

If you do buy it then change the oil and all the filters and do a tune up. and maybe adjust the valves
