Should i take the car?

im 17 turning 18 in a month and my boyfriend of 3 and a half years has asked me to go look at a car that his dad wants to buy me! i have recently lost my job and am looking...i spent the money saved for a car to help out a family member in some health problems im not getting the money back ( i dont want it back).what do i do? do i take it? i know that he wont let me pay it back ...confused!

Gifts like this can be held over your head later on. It's probably best to be self reliant and then you will only need to answer to yourself in the future. It makes life tougher now but you will be stronger and more independent in the future. Is there a job in your area that you could use public transportation to get to or ride a bike? If so maybe this would allow you to save up and later buy a car.
