Question:
I am going to be getting a car and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on what cars are good first cars (used) between $3,000 and $5,000? I want something that is reliable and good on gas. Also, where are good places to look online for these cars? Thanks so much!

Why can't I find any high mileage exotic cars?
Try a Toyota Corolla. I have had a multitude of econo cars, and this one was the best. They are light on the gas and very straight forward vehicles. Also, their parts are typically much cheaper than Civics (which actually have some pretty pricey parts). Also, my other econo cars were theft/break-in magnets, whereas the Corolla was not.Toyota Corolla/Chevy Prizm. I have a 99 Prizm with over 200.000 miles on it. It runs great, does not give me problems, and gives me about 34 mpg with a mix of highway and city driving. I had a 94 in high school that was a super reliable car.
Good luck!
