will the DVLA know where my ex car is so i can buy it back?
Never heard of any such place. Are car dealers and mechincs open tomorrow?
Next month, many of the low-end buy-here, pay-here dealers will be ramping up their tax prep mills to steal millions in tax refunds.
Best car for a first car? and inexpensive, used, with 4wheel dr.?
Uninformed consumers will bring in their W-2s. The dealer will prepare their tax return and have the refund sent to the dealer's bank. After deducting an ourtageous amount for "fees" the balance will be applied to a car that's probably worth less than the refund, along with 18 - 24 months worth of "pure profit" payments from their mark -- YOU!
I'm thinking of trading in my car for a smaller car. What is a good choice?
If you want to be ripped off in the worst possible way, go for it. Better bet: Buy a tax prep package for your computer and do your own taxes. Keep ALL of your refund and buy something decent with the proceeds.
Or take your W-2 to H&R Block and have them e-file your return and send the refund to YOUR bank. Skip the "refund anticipation" loan, it's almost as bad of a rip-off as the dealer's. The tax prep firms are a rip-off for most taxpayers, but at least they're not as bad as the scum-bucket dealers!
