yeah...i wouldnt count it on being too dependable.maybe another 2000 dollars and you could find somethin that will last a little longerQuestion about car dealerships.?
Alright man, here is what I would do. Look into getting a late 80s, early 90s Honda. I am not sure how the registration fees and whatever work in NY as opposed to CA, but figure all that out before buying. Make sure that the car is in good running condition, preferably by a mechanic. With 2000 to spend, you can find one.Yeah maybe. But if you live in NY city what do you need one for. How about insurance?? where you going to park it??
What is needed for paperwork when buying a used car??
1000 should be enough to get u a piece of crap that runs for awhile. use the other 1000 for the inevitable maintenance fees.Get a Trading Post, it will list all kind of cars for 2K. You could also try the classified in the newspaper.

It depends what kind of car you want. If you want a VERY CHEAP car that looks crappy, sure you can buy a car with that money!!Spend the $2000 at eharmony.com and find yourself a rich g/f. Then get her to fall in love and buy you a much nicer car.
In New York City, you don't need a car. There are plenty of buses and taxis.
