A front wheel drive will be towed from the front, so the drive train isn't turning. If it is a newer car with an electronic spedo then no it does not. On an older car with a cable drive spedo, it will continue to add mileage if the car is towed with the drive wheels turning.Anything made since the mid 90s should be electronic.
