The crash tests are nearly as flawed as the current EPA ratings. They are controlled situations at 40mph (a lot of cars have 5 star ratings and then lousy vehicle injury ratings as calculated by insurance company accident statistics). Not of much use when you are doing 70mph on the highway. The Tundra is also a big vehicle that will likely win almost any crash. With all the airbags and what not, most accidents will not result in serious injury. I would not let a vehicles accident rating be a huge factor.

If you are thinking of the Tundra, I would not get the TRD suspension. It rides too hard for an ever day vehicle. I would also give the new Chevy's serious consideration. They have won every test I have read, even beaten the Tundra. Ford and Chrysler are rebating the hell out of their trucks, as they are not selling as well and are no longer the cream of the crop.
