Personally i would go with either the Lexus or the G35. They are both great cars with extremely high reliability. The Mercedes Benz is a great looking car but they are still not very highly rated in reliability. Also the BMW does have status but if you are looking for a convertible then that would be the best thing to do. Also keep in mind if you are driving in winter conditions they offer most of those cars in AWD. Lexus IS350, G35X, 330xi, CLK430 4matic. Acura does not.does the car dealership determines the least amount i can put down on a car (used)?
The Acura gives the best value for the money, talking sticker price you can get one for $30,505 (MSRP) loaded with navigation. Acura's already come with leather, heated seats XM radio, HID headlights, etc. So it would be the best bang for the buck. Add the lip kit and spoiler and you are all set.

When it comes to BMW's I personally feel that you can buy a BMW for 30K, but its not truly a BMW unless you spend at least 40K. Because of the options, stereo upgrades, leather upgrade, 700$ for HID headlights which all Luxury cars should come with standard. There is just too much to add to the car to get it right and that can skyrocket the price.
Infiniti makes a very sexy car, the G35 was just redesigned for this year so it has great lines and tons of power. It uses the VQ35, 3.5L V6 with gobs of torque and a great sound. I have always liked Infinit's they are luxury with performance in mind.
Is purchasing a 2007 Escalade worth it?
The Lexus IS is such a fantastic looking car, the baby ES. Lexus did a lot to make this new IS a great all around vehicle. It is luxurious but at the same time performance driven. Maybe not so much as the Infiniti but fairly close to the mark. Not to mention Toyota reliability which means this car will run forever.
If you really want to research these cars more, then I would suggest A) driving them all, taking your time, and not worrying about numbers up front. Find out which one makes you feel like an owner. B) Sing up to ConsumerReports.com I did this when i was looking for a new car and it helped tremendously. I paid only $5 for a one month subscription and was able to access tons of information on their site regarding any make or model I pleased.

You will save like $10,000 buying a used car. I love BMW's and Lexus. I was at CARMAX the other day and saw a nice Lexus with not many miles for $22,000. When you buy a new car it depreciates alot just driving off the lot. In about 2 months of you owning it, it will look used anyway. Something to consider.Infiniti G35.
If you are looking in the States.....I'm leaning towards the Lexus and the Infiniti G35. The Infiniti has a nice selection of models, the 6 Speed caught my eye.
The Mercedes, and the Bimmer aren't offered here yet.

It all depends on what's important to you.I would assume you want the best bang for your buck. Of all the cars listed, the one I am most familiar with is the Acura TSX. I used to be the Finance Manager at an Acura dealership and that is what I had a demonstrator. Most of the cars you are looking at are significantly more expensive than the TSX. When I left, the 2006 Acura TSX with Navigation had an MSRP of $30,590. There is no difference in cost for Auto/Manual. But if you look at the package content(Navi, Bluetooth, XM, Leather, Heated Seats, REAL Leather (not Pleather), Traction Control, Moonroof). Many of the vehicles you mention may start in the same price range but jump significantly as you add equipment, especially if you match the Acura option for option.
If you are concerned about resale value, then I don't think anyone could argue the Acura will be the winner in that category. Acura traditionally has been the front runner in resale amount luxury cars.

If you're talking all out performance, you'll probably want to stick with the Lexus or BMW. I've driven both and even though the Acura is sporty, those have the edge in the fun-to-drive category.

Although the Mercedes has the prestige, I'd shy away just because I know too many people that are on a first name basis with their Mercedes service dept. They are not complaining, and they are not paying for repairs since they are under warranty, but to me that is a nusance.

I personally lease my cars, and have a Cadillac CTS. To me the MSRP is not a concern, but the payment and what I'm getting for that payment. Out of the cars you have listed about (TL though not TSX) based on the money out of pocket and miles I needed, the CTS came out on top, and so far, an excellent choice IMO.

I guess that comes into play too... how long do you plan on keeping the car? If you are looking at long term ownership the German cars are defnitely going to cost more if repairs are needed after the warranty expires.
