I will soon be shopping for a new car, it will have to be relatively cheap & quite big, big enough to fit 3 car seats. I have a hire car at the moment which I love, it's a 2005 Vectra which has the shoulder seat belt in the middle of the back seat, it's perfect as then all 3 kids can sit in the back. Are those belts only fitted in new cars or can they be found in old ones aswell? Any tips would be great!

I have a Vectra too. Loads of room for kids and shopping. I even managed to get two eight foot christmas trees in it a couple of weeks ago. Admittedly that was a bit of a squash !!picasso's have plenty of room

Yes it is now law , that all cars have to have three belts in the back and indeed they will not pass an mot if not , a new roomy car , as a mechanic i only see them when there broke but i have had some good reports on some of the new hiundi s you cannot go wrong with some of the late vauxhalls there repetition is very good on reliability of Mazda's are fine excellent reliability one of the best if you can afford them , i never thought i would say this you cannot beat a Scoda i very rarely ever see them which means they must be good.
