BMW 2007 3 series coupe or Mercedes c350 coupe?

Looking to buy one of these two vehicles in the months to come. Which is a better overall car.? I know Mercedes is a better performer..but maintenance and reliability wise?

While both cars have recently dropped in initial repair and reliability according to recent Consumer Digest articles (www.consumerdigest.co) the Mercedes' are fairing worse than BMW here of late. The have been ranked below average for a few years now and the C-series is one of the cars that ranks lowest within their lines.

However, you must also look at the long term Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to determine if either of these are worth it for long haul. Recent GM brands and the Lexus are perhaps better values with their higher quality ratings??

Mercedes better overall, expensive maintenance but hey if you can afford the car, money is not a problem for you

They are both low grade versions made by both companies. I would take a 2005 or 2006 BMW 5 series or an E class.
