Who do car dealers use for their trade in valuations?

Question:
I think CAS or something simialar was mentioned by Ford today, but if anyone knows that would be great.

Answers:

Need Vehicle History Report! Help!?

They would of been referring to CAP guide. It collates the final sale prices of cars in auction each month to compile a realistic guide to the cars value for the following month. This covers cars of all ages. Glasses guide is also used for cars dating back as far as 1999. Most garages will take a average from both if applicable. NO garage/trader will use Parker's guide. This is just a poor valuation guide made available to the buying public. Its very rarely correct.
