Best used car or SUV for towing..?

I may be moving to another province and want to purchase either a used car or used SUV (2002 and up) that is able to tow a trailer. Anyone have any thoughts on which are best? I've heard that the Ford Explorer is not very good, i've also heard both good and bad things about the Ford Escape. Any information would be appreciated.

It would depend on what you have to tow. An Explorer will tow up to 7200lbs with a V8. An Escape will tow up to 3500lbs. Both are great vehicles! I have both vehicles!

Which car is better?

It depends on the weight of the trailer, but considering the fact I'm a Nissan dealer, I would have to suggest a Nissan Pathfinder, Xterra, or Murano. All of which are tremendous vehicles to drive and hold their value well. Sorry for the biased answer, but they really are nice vehicles. If your trailer weighs over 6000 pounds, I would suggest an Armada(It tows up to 9500 pounds). Good Luck and test drive a Nissan if you get a chance...
