I want to buy a 2002 Ford Focus 40 k and i just found out it had a right front accident in 2003. Since than it had 2 owners.
I would have paied 6,300 if it had clear carfax.

I cannot give an exact value, but less for sure. However I have seen good condition cars with rebuilt titles go for almost as much as clean titled cars. I would never buy one because resale would become more difficult and there is the potential for extra problems with the car. I think any minor savings would be offset by repairs/resale/satisfaction with car. By satisfaction I mean we all know car become noisy as they age. This car may be alright now at 40k, but it will surely pop up with more than a few clanks and rattles sooner than another focus might due to its wreck.
