Question:
I bought a car on 2/20/07 and I was screwed (more than normal). Can I get out of it? Is there a minimum amount of time (like maybe 30 days or even 7 days) that you can change your mind?
Answers:
GMAC has screwed me bad on a lease from GREENBROOK GMC, has anybody else had problems.?
I agree with Shaq...I purchased my car in December, and everything sounded good while i was there and when i went home i really regretted the whole deal. But it kept coming into my head what the guy at the dealer told me. "There is no cooling off period..." He told me once it leaves the lot and papers are signed it's mine, and that i cant come back tomorrow saying i changed my mind...I'm in PA so i am not sure what the other state's laws are but I'm assuming they might be the same,or just slightly different. So, like me you might be screwed and will just have to deal with it for a little while. My saving grace would probably be knowing that after a while i might be able to trade-in/upgrade.good luck.I beleive you have 3 days to back out if Im not mistaken

Where Do I Find A Dependable Small Car ?
You don't have that long. If you want out go there now and tell them. Go right away and ask to revoke your signature's validity. Also send a certified letter stating that you've asked for your signed contract to be revoked so the time line can not be disputed later. Do it right now or it could be a very expensive procrastination. Here are different state's laws, scroll down and pick your state and find out:

I have a Suzuki Verona and GMC truck?
THERE IS NO "COOLING OFF" PERIOD ONCE YOU SIGN THAT CONTRACT THE CAR BELONGS TO YOU!!!!!
Only state which allows you to cancel a contract is California, but you must PURCHASE this policy for around $150 and it's only for 48 hours.
What is ur openion about subaru impreza?
The "72 hour" law ONLY applies if the purchase was made inside your home (from a door to door salesman), at a temporary location or a health club membership. Unless the dealer came knocking on your door to sell you the car, you have no right to cancel the contract!!!!
Will gap insurance pay my loan if my car falls under the lemon law?
It depends on the laws of your state. Look here for stuff on lemon laws that apply to Texas. It's safe - it's the official govt site.http://www.dot.state.tx.us/services/moto...
Help, need idea for good first car to mod under 5k i.e Eclipse, 240sx, civic, mustang?
(edit) Most states have a 3-day lemon law at least. I used to work at a bank and what a lot of people would do is put a "stop payment" on a check from this certain car dealer in town. Don't know how effective it was, but a stop payment should cost you about $20.
Why are used car's almost as expensive as new car's?
Check in to your local buyers remorse laws that sometimes give buyers a right to return a purchase within three days. If its a lemon then you might also have more options. Check with the better business beurue. When buying a car you have exactly 7 days with NO penalty, after that it is up to the dealership. Had a bad experience at one of the so called best dealerships trying to get a car back. You don't have to pay for any miles put on it. In fact I had the local police called and he more than willing gave me the old car back.
