Question:
I recently traded in a 2004 GMC pickup. I miss having it. I would like to find out who bought it, and then see if they are willing to sell it back to me. I have not asked the dealer yet. I don't think they would tell me due to privacy restrictions. I know this sounds crazy...just work with me.

How do you buy a car off a relative and make the car belong in your name?
You're correct in that you are not entitled to that information for privacy reasons. The buyer will have a much better chance of getting YOUR information than you ever will of getting his. If the dealer that you traded it to sells it directly to another retail customer, he'll hand over the title that you gave the dealer when you traded it. Your name and address will be right there for the buyer to make note of.

You are probably looking at paying a 2-3k premium that the buyer paid, plus a 2-3k premium to get the new buyer to let go of it.But I assume you realize that you are out a few grand to try that
