Question:
I want to buy a 300zx , but like to get a good one, with about 80,000 miles, its about 7000-9000. I see ones in great shape but with like 200,000+ on the engine all the time for about 3000. Would it be smart to buy one for 3000 and just drop like 1,000 - 2,000 on a new engine? How much would it be to install and how much would an engine be?

Balloons at the car dealer?
either way is risky, I would look at both of them test drive them and see which one has the most new parts then find the one that is the best deal. like if ya could find one with 200K and all new motor bolt ons, brakes, axle, suspension, transmission rebuilt. that would be a good deal. by the time that car hit 200K all the parts are worn past the limit of being safe.

I want to buy a 1300 cc Car. Should I buy an Esteem or an Indigo. Are there any others-hyundai,honda toconsidr
If the engine in the car is still running but tired, instead of buying a new engine have the current one rebuilt. It will be less money to rebuild and the car retains the same engine that it always had. Typically if the current engine is intact but just does not have the power it once did, replacing the pistons/rings, and resurfacing all moving parts as well as resurfacing the cylinder walls may be all you need to get the power back. You can get a quote on how much it would be to rebuild the current engine and compare to a swap.
