How much would someone pay for a car that a motor went out on?

My motor went out on my 96 Mitsubishi Galant the other day and I really need some money for a down payment on a new car. My credit isn't all that good so a good down payment would be helpful. The body is good the motor just went out. If anyone can help me PLEASE HELP. Thanks A LOT

I would be phoning some dealers about it. I dont think you will get a lot for it, but it depends on what "went out" on it. Otherwise, advertise it as a swap fo a vehicle that goes but is older and cheaper. good luck
