Horsepower/Speed Increase Mods?

I would start out by finding a good cold air intake/exhaust combo. Don't assume that bigger exhaust means more power. The bigger you go on a small high compression engine, the more power you will lose. After you find the correct exhaust and cold air intake, you must get a chip or computer that will support your mods. You can also upgrade your spark plugs and use a different ignigition system to get a better spark and better combustion for more power and fuel economy. Also change your spark plug wires and make sure your car is grounded better. Lighten the car in any way you can. The less weight it has the quicker it will be. (For example go with a lightweight alloy wheels.)

If you are looking for greater gains and money is not a problem. Then you can go with a JDM engine. Then add a turbo or a supercharger kit. Then change out your trans and clutch for more horse power and torque handling. Find a good turbo down pipe exhaust for maximum output of power. Get a good chip or computer that is specfic for your engine/turbo setup. You will also need to upgrade injectors and fuel pump. Don't forget turbo timer and boost controller and all the necessary gauges to monitor temps,boost,air to fuel ratio.

Another way to go is motor plus NOS. I would recommend this for all out racing only on the track. Repeat use of NOS is damaging to the engine and is illegal on the street.
