the dodge diesel. they use the cummins powerplant the best diesel currently on the market. gm uses an isuzu motor. ford uses an international motor. both the gm and fords are v8's and have the same power as the dodge straight 6 cyl. also look at the size of the internal working parts. the dodges are twice the size of the gm or fords to handle the power of the diesel engines. talk to most diesel mechanics and they will all tell you the dodge diesel. ford is even having problems getting paid for warranty claims on their diesel engines and are trying to get international to cover some of the costs of all the claims. gm hasnt had a comparible diesel engine in years.
