I would skip the Axiom for certain. Isuzu is all but gone from these shores. And they were not known for making quality products anyway. Reliability will be poor, depreciation will be high, and parts will be hard to come by.

The Mazda Tribute is not a bad little SUV. I would avoid the first model years (01/02) as they had a lot of recalls and quality issues. As with most Ford products, it has not been meaningfully updated or changed at all, so they do eventually work out most of the kinks.
