Question:
I have a 96 Saturn with over 162K on it. It’s starting to have a lot of little problems just because it’s getting old. So im thinking about getting a new (used) car. Im pretty happy with the Saturn that I have, and was thinking about getting another one. However all of my co-workers said that I MUST get a Japanese car because they are better. While looking around, I noticed that they are MUCH more expansive, and that if I wanted to spend the same amount of money as the Saturn, I would have to buy a car with close to 100K on it. My question is: is it better to buy a Saturn with low miles, or a Japanese car with higher miles for the same amount of money?

About how much does a 95 toyota tacoma cost?
Don't buy an import! They are very expensive to maintain. also the cost of repair is very expensive! What ever you buy. Make sure it is an American car! Cheaper to maintain and repair if needed! Keep your hard earned in the US! Buy an American car!!Even brand new cars can be lemons, this is a case to case thing, and cannot be judged overall,
Can someone tell me what make and model car this is?
my wife had a Saturn...what a junk pile..drive a toyota or honda and tell me you like saturn...nooo wayWould anyone like to donate a car to me? im in melbourne?
go with a jap tuner... it's pretty reliable and with decent servicing u will get really good performance and mileage. but if u would rather go with a newer saturn then it's upto u...Does anyone have an old chevelle?
If you want to keep it within your budget go with another Saturn. Go to a Saturn dealership b/c alot of times they offer a discount b/c of loyalty (staying with the same car make). Plus Saturns, as you know, are very good cars and don't require alot of repairs and if they do they are not that expensive compared to a Japanese car. Stick with what you have and you should be happy.I need your opinion on a car purchase?
Trade your Saturn in on a new (that's NEW) Saturn. They are very good cars as evidenced by your '96 model. You already have a used car, so why would you want another one? Besides, financing for a new one is so much easier to obtain, and you get an good warranty with it. If you are going to have a payment, get a new car. Good luck. What is a decent used tribeca go for?

What color G35 Coupe should i get?
It's all relative. I had a friend who him and his wife bought cars at the same time, one a Avalon the other a 300He learned that with the 300 the maintenence and ownership costs were much less, while the Avalon required premium fuel and the insurance was higher because the parts were expensive.
Anyone with a 2007 Ford Expedition, what is the best price you got?
Then they kept it for a few years till recently and both traded it in around the same time. While he paid a premium of $4K for his Avalon, his wife's 300 was worth less than the Avalon... about $4K less.
Me and my husband are fighting over new car...help?
So case in point the premium he paid at first, was awash when he traded his vehicle in. Now as for ownership costs, the Avalon was thousands over what the 300 paid. But he had that "premium" glow to him which made him feel special, so to each his own.
A place to look for a cheap reliable car?
He traded into a Vovo S80, and she just got a Milan.
Which is a better suv 07 honda crv vs 07 nissan murano?
But anyways, again, it sounds like your situation is pretty much awash...When buying used cars I always tell people to look at the cost of parts moreso, and labor on them. Saturn's parts are inexpensive, I rather have that, because the Corolla will also require replacement parts, or even regular maintenence like a timing belt with be costly to repair anyways.
