yes you do. each keyfob is unique to each car. what they will do is get your chassis or vin number and put it through the computer and it will bring up your fob number where they programme a new one but this can be expensive and it can take up to a week for a new one. you need to contact your local dealer for a price as sometimes it can vary.call a locksmith and get prices and compare them to dealer the locksmith will give u a better price and they will do it in less than an hour not like the dealer will b on it all 5 hours
