no, I wouldn't buy it. It may run great now but your never going to be able to find parts for it when it breaks down. It would be OK if you were going to display it in car shows but don't consider it for transportation unless you plan on having another car for reliable transportation.

for about $7000 you could get a 95 or 96 model. Much more reliable, much better engine. The 88 probably has a 305. It depends on if he likes the 88 model better or not. Some guys grew up loving that style. I'm guilty. Love 3rd generation.

Too much!. The 305 engine sucks. If it's a V6, it REALLY sucks. Get a later model and be happy.
