I can't register the car because the owner didn't sign the pink slip and when I call him. He is not returning my calls. He didn't get my name. Only my phone number. I had to tow the car about a hundred miles because the car is not running. Some one told me that if I don't get the pink slip signed might as well abandon the car on the street and learned the hard way. Any ideas really appreciated, thanks!

Keep trying to get ahold of the person, but in the mean time, Go to your local Dept. of Licensing and explain the situation. They will tell you what you can do or they will contact that person. Hope you got a reciept of some sort.How much money does a car go for at a police auction?
the owner does not need to sign the pink slip.the pink slip will be stamped by the person or company who wrote it.
Then take action against that company
you bought a car that dont run hope you did not give him much for it
if you cant do much for it take it to the junk yard at least you got the title to get rid of it
it may have even been stolen...as the saying goes...you learn from your mistakes!
