Question:
I purchased a 2007 Dodge Nitro. It was defective. I returned it and the dealer put me in a 2006 Liberty. I found out a couple weeks later that I overpaid by at least $10,000.00. Is there something I can do to recoup some of this money? Isn't this unethical? I was vulnerable and stressed due to the defective Nitro, but had no idea they were going to screw over me like this! What can I do? Who can I contact? Do I need a lawyer? Is there any chance? I feel violated and taken advantage of.

That is a tough situation to be in. While it is unethical, its not illegal. You signed a legal and binding contract and there is very little you can do to get out of it, if at all. Doing otherwise could damage your credit score. Have you considered paying a visit to the dealer to see what can be worked out (off record)? Its tough to swallow, no one likes to be ripped off. You will just have to make a mental note to not being pushed into another buy, take your time, and do it under less stress.
