Question:
Found a 1997 Nissan Altima for $3200 with 202k miles. I think he's asking way too much for the car. Especially with 202k miles. How much longer would it last? Is the price too high? By the way, the car is clean except the air doesn't work. Should I be concerned about the timing belt or the clutch? Serious responses please.
Thanks!

Go to http://www.kbb.com/ and that wiil tell you what it's worth. That site is Kelly Blue Book. That is what the banks will loan on the car and will be real clolse to the value.
Reading descriptions for car parts, what does this mean??
depending on what motor that is in the car it will have iether a timing chain or a belt......now with 202k.....i would be concerned with everything on the car period. but for 3200 that doesnt sound that bad IF and i mean IF the car has been checked out by the dealership and everything is in perfect condition. you can have a car with 400k miles on it. and still purr like it came off the showroom floor. it all depends on how people take care of their cars. but for your sake.....find something different. i have a 97 subaru impreza for sale if you like....booked at 8500 and im asking 6500 for it (its got some dirt spots that i cant get out on the roof).....sucks being a mechanic..lolHas anyone used Capital One Auto Finance?
