Question:
I still owe money to the dealership bank on my car. It's around $38K. I'd like to sell it to a private party, buyout the loan, get the title and give it to the private party buyer. How can I do this? Would it be easier to do a trade-in at a dealership? Which would be a wiser decision?

In your opinion which is the best buy among the midsize suv's in the market and why?
This is how I did it. I got the buyer to get his money rounded up and of course I had to put some money with his to actually pay off the vehicle. He agreed to pay $24,000 but I owed $26,500 so I had to come up with $2,500 to get rid of the vehicle. the Blue Book value was right at $25,000 but I really needed to get out from under it because I was going to Italy, I don't think a Nissan 4 Door Titan would fit in, in Italy. Anyway he met me at my bank, and I had called Nissan motor credit to tell them what was going on and how to handle it on my end. They told me to send in the payoff amount, and they would send the title to the bank of the new buyer. I sent in the final payment, they received it and Nissan sent the title to the new buyers bank. I of course wrote up a hand written bill of sale to the new buyer just in case he got into an accident and I would not be held responsible. If you have any more questions about the matter, just call your bank and let them know what you are doing and they will talk you thru everything, that's there job and they do it for a living. oops I almost forgot, youwill always get a better price if you sell it yourself than if you traded it in. The dealerships make more money on used cars than they do new cars. They are out to give you very little and resale fot the biggest profits.Business name/logos ideas for a used car dealership?
You and the new prospective buyer should go to the bank that is holding the title and the bank person will take care of the transaction.More Questions & Answers ...
