Why do car dealers say on TV credit doesn't matter but then it turns out they can't finance you.?

Question:
I'm sick of stupid TV commercials that say that credit doesn't matter but then when you go to the freaking place they say you need a co-sing, or about $4000 to get a car. Those lying BASTARDS.!!! why won't they tell the true. WHY!!! !Any ways what do you think?

Answers:

where can I find a decent cheap (under $1000) used car from a private seller?

Now don't blame the commercials. Yes, some of them are pretty hokey-dokey, but they get you in. don't they. The thing is, they will do everything to get you financed, because that's the only way they get paid. The fact you can't get approved has to do with your personal situation, which is no fault of theirs. Sorry, but just being honest.

what kind of car?

They do that because they want you to buy a car from them. That is a good way to get people to come down to their lot. Their thinking is that if you can't afford a car your interested in then maybe you'll buy something else that is cheaper. Then they at least make a sale of some sort.
