What the person told you is true, it is possible to have it shipped Stateside, and you can, if you and he are PayPal members, make payment that way. I am not sure about the issue of holding the money for 10 days, nor if he can "re-ship" the car if you don't like it, but I personally would not do the deal. It can be very difficult to get MAC transportation in some areas, and you might have to pay an"up front" amount in order to get the car picked up and shipped. You might also be liable for any damages that happened while the car was in transit, or damaged while being on or off-loaded.
It's sad that we can't trust people, but the term "Too good to be true" seems like it would apply.

well, that car has a lot of miles on it but if you really need it get it checked out by a good mechanic when you get the chance, and if theres something wrong with it let him know about it. The US Military (and the Air Force specifically) doesn't have a significant presence in Finland. That there is enough to set my scam detector off. It isn't impossible, but it is HIGHLY unlikely.
