You may be able to get a good mountain bike with that budget!i bought old shape P reg Nissan micra for £1500 and i had it for yrs, cheap to run and insure and very reliable. i only got rid of it because i needed a bigger car and part exchanged it for £800

I would go for a Fiesta or a Micra. Some Fiestas are more likely to show some signs of being messed around by Boy racers. But Don't let this put you off. If you are cautious and you know what kind you are looking for then buy it.The Micra is a car that is less likely to have been messed around with as most of them are bought by sensible people. The micra has excellent reliability as my friend has had one for 2 years and hasn't broke down once.
