Question:
My husband and I are looking at leasing a BMW 328xi, MSRP of 40,270 the first offer presented was $493 a month total of $5k down (5k includes tax, title, license) 36 months, 15k per year. 61% residual and supposedly a 5.5% rate (they wouldn't tell me the money factor). I couldn't make the numbers work on a lease calculator, so I told them this and they quickly went down to $486 month still $5k down. Told them that was more than I wanted to pay and made the cardnial mistake of saying I was looking for a payment of $450 but would pay $460. Next day I get an email they will take $459 mo - negotiated MSRP $37,770. My calculations were the price should be $435 mo so I emailed back that offer. They didn't bite, so I played the waiting game for about 5 days. Yesterday I received an email from him offering me a 27 month lease 15k same car $4750 down $417 a month, 71% residual. Could anyone give me their thoughts on this lease?
