Question:
I posted a car for sale on craigslist and ended up with about 10-15 people who wanted to buy it without seeing it for clients who lived out of state or overseas. They were all willing to send the 1,000+ extra for shipping fees and have me arrange for shipping. Soemhow this seemed odd to me, why are all these people responding the same way, is it a scam of some sort. It just seemed very weird.

Sorry about it, I've spoken with Secret Service and FBI, and they're working on it, but conditions in Lagos, etc, make it really hard to find the bad guys.

The part about buying it for clients who live out of state or overseas would raise a red flag for me. That is how most of the scams start. What they are trying to get you to do is accept their offer, deposit the check in your account, take the money from your account to make another check or money order to pay for the shipping and then as soon as they have their money the check bounces and leaves you in a big mess, with a fraudulent check and fees on your account.
Any car salesman can answer this for me?
If they are really interested get all of the information down to the final final details and if they say that they will give you a check or money order for double the amount you are asking and tell you to deposit the check and then make another check, there is a 99.9% chance that this is a scam.
Car sales contract has to be corrected??
There are overseas scams. They request you to get a western Union money gram & they claim they'll "cover it". Do not send money in any form to anyone. If they send you money, you need to make sure it clears your bank before you ship the item. I wouldn't handle anything over seas.It IS a scam. Don't even reply to them.
