You blew up the engine? Ran it without oil? Blew the tranny? Blew a head gasket? What exactly happened? You may be able to fix whatever is wrong for very little money. Can you give us more info?

It depends on the make of the car. If it's a premium brand car such as a Merc then I would advertise it as spares or repair on e-bay or put a notice in a local shop or local paper.
But don't be greedy after all you want to sell it remember.
If the car isn't a premium brand car then you may have trouble selling it and could find yourself having to wait a long time before you do so. Not many people are into stripping cars for parts especially when they can get them cheep enough on e-bay or recon stores.
If your car is not a premium brand then I would just take it to a local scrap merchants. You will probably get about twenty five quid for it. Not a lot you may say but after all it was you who blew the engine in the first place and something is better than nothing.
