Question:
I was recently given a 1974 Porsche 911, 2.7 liter. This car was once owned by Roger Penske. I have the paper owners manual to prove it. He owned it for about a year, then he sold it to my uncle's college roommate. After that my uncle bought it. He then gave it to me. The car has 58,000 original miles on it. It has a couple on dings in it and only a little bit of rust on the front lower lip. It was sitting in a garage for about 25 years. They started it and drove it every now and then. They had all the engine gaskets and seals replaced about 5 years ago. This car is very fast. I do not know if Roger Penske did something to the motor when he owned it. Everything works on it except for the radio. From what I have researched, I think it might be worth $20,000.

Longest lasting make / Least problematic car in the long run?
The 2.7's (particularly the California-emissions cars) are prone to pulled cylinder head studs from overheating but Penske may have modified the engine for better cooling to help prevent this.Whats the best sat nav to buy for around 250-300 pounds?
The value of your car is probably about $ 20K, but may be worth more depending on the modifications. You might check with your local PCA chapter or Porsche mechanic to help identify the changes made, if any. A Dyno test would show if your car has more power than the stock engine.
