Help my car contract purchase IS IT FINAL?

Question:
I bought a car and i signed a contract co-signed with my dad and now they want to take me off the contract by making my dad only sign a new contract, Can they do that???

Answers:

hot to trade in?

The contract you and your dad signed is either valid or invalid on its own. If its valid, then there is no need for your dad to sign a new contract, and if it is invalid, then your dad doesn't have to sign another contract if he doesn't feel like it.

what is a really good website to find used cars?

It sounds to me like the dealership made a mistake and now they are trying to get your dad to correct it for them. Tell them that before your dad will even consider signing another contract they have to provide you with a letter stating exactly why they feel he needs to sign another contract. If they actually do give you a letter, then you can post again with the exact text of the letter and get a better answer.

Used Car-is it a good deal?

If you are under 18 you cannot sign a legally binding contract. If you are over 18 ask your dad to make inquiries with the company.

If I am a Wisconsin resident and I buy a car in Illinois, must I pay sales tax (in either state)?

It sounds like the dealership may have done a "Spot" delivery, which means they had you and your father sign papers before they had a firm approval from a lender. It's possible that either the lender won't accept you on the loan, or the interest rate is considerably higher if you are on the loan. Each lender is different, so I would ask the dealership why they want you off the loan. If you are trying to build credit, then this will not help you. Spot deliveries basically state that you are purchasing the vehicle and unless you are rejected from the lenders, the car is yours. I'm not 100% what you signed though. I hope this helps.

I was wondering..?

These types of legal questions are difficult because many facts must be considered:

selling my car vehicle?

1) how old are you?
2) what did the contract say?
3) what state do you live in?
4) what was said by you and the seller before signing the contract?

Has anyone ever bought a car from Drivetime?

Of course, only a licensed attorney in your state can give you a definitive answer, but with more facts, we may be able to offer you general information related to your situation.
