Mitsubishi Mirage 2000 coupe, What do you think?

I'm planning to buy my first car... and someone is selling me his Mitsubishi Mirage year 2000, coupe, 78,700 Km, automatic... 5500 bucks... But I dont know if Mitsubishi is a good brand... Can somebody give me some advises about?.. Own experiences?... technical problems?... etc etc... Thnxs so much.

They're okay. About on par with Ford or GM in most cases. The Mirage is a decent car. Not Corolla or Civic good, but close.

I've driven some early 90s models, and I owned an 89. Good cars, and the only year to avoid is 89 (it's sort of an electronic orphan...only the dealer can read codes, it's pre OBD...the earlier and later ones are fine.)
