I have alot of boys clothing as well as womens. Most are in good condition and some still have the tags on them. I have alot of toys and electronics. Again, many still have the price tag on. How much should I sell them for? Thank you!

If you sell them at different rates from what you expect you'll probably make money. The price that people see is where the negotiating in a yard sale goes DOWN from. So don't under price your items as they'll probably try to negotiate you down from it. I would say a good healthy markup on items over five dollars would be 15%. If it's under 5 dollars I'd say 50-150% markup. The lower the price the higher the markup.My car broke down and I need a ride to work.?
Just realize that eBay is an excellent price marking tool. If you see what something USUALLY sells for on eBay, and price it for about the same if not 15-20% less then it will usually sell. It just depends on how MUCH you want to sell versus how much you want to make. The ABSOLUTE MOST IMPORTANT THING to do is market it. If no one knows about your yard sale, then no one is coming and you're not going to make any decent money but are going to waste your time. Be reasonable, use your noggin, and don't over or under price and you will make money. Realize that you're still practicing and it is a science (there are people that go to school just for merchandising, marketing, sales, and market-pricing. And YOU'RE going to be doing all of it, so don't be too hard on yourself), it will be a lot of fun and a learning experience.

if you price things rediculously, like you yourself wouldnt even buy it then you know your doing something wrong. if things are in good condition remember when you bought them around how much you paid for them. and remember, some people may be skeptical about clothing, because other people have worn them. if you tell them you cleaned them and they look visibly new, then people will want to buy them!

Don't waste time putting prices on things. People will ask you. Make it up on the fly. Take less that what you make up. Wheel and deal. Give them 2 things for the price of one, etc.5 dollars higher than what it should be, let them bargain for the lower price.

On any electronics, expect to get 1/4-1/3 of the price tag. Boys clothing you aren't going to get a lot for. Having the tags on it doesn't really matter. Usual price runs about $1-3 per piece and downhill from there. Unless you have a jacket or something that usually costs a lot more. Womens clothing expect the same thing pricewise. If you have brand new items in womens clothing, ask for 1/3 of the price, you "might" get it. Toys- go low. Don't expect to price things too high, if you do that people will take one walk through and leave. I am giving you the end of the "price war". You know the old saying: "One man's junk is another is another man's treasure." That doesn't always hold true with yardsales. People come really looking for a bargain. Don't expect to price things at half or even a third of retail. Price as low as you can if you want to see them sale. Otherwise, at the end of the day, you will find yourself making a trip to Goodwill or another charity. The price tags should help you considerably. Surely folks will be willing to pay a little more in this case. Have plenty of small change handy and some bags for your customers' purchases. Hope the weather is good and you have a big turn out!!
