College car?

I am close to graduating high school and am going to have to be thinking getting a different car to replace my high mile 1993 Beretta. What are some suggestions of some good cars that would cost me less than 15,000 and have good ride quality and some power?

A 2006 Ford Fusion can be found used for under $15k. A 4-cylinder Fusion has great power and fantastic ride.
