I don't think a carfax report on a 15 year old car would be of much use. At 7 or 8 years, it's going to be reported as salvage regardless of whether it's been wrecked or had trouble.

It just lets you know the vehicle was totaled but some one rebuilt it. DMV has to certify every salvaged car. If it was fixed at agood shop it should not really matter, as long as there are no bad tire wear or pulling. You can take it and have it aligned to see if the frame and suspension are straight.

salvaged title means that it has been totaled meaning that it cost more to repair the car from damage that it was actually worth at the time. a salvaged car is like a craps shoot. I may be fine or problems may arise from the wreck long ago. general rule of thumb a salvaged car is worth half of kbb.com make sure frame is strait at shop. also look down side of car from front and back make sure all panels are strait look at the gaps inbetween panels to make sure all gaps are uniform. good luck. take it to a bodyshop for their opinion if you are uncertain
