I'm 17 years old, i live in pennsylvania and i have my permit (for 10 months too). i'm looking to buy a USED car off either a small dealership or a private owner. but i want to buy a car and not have anyone else to have anything else to do with it. what do i need to do? and if i can get a car, what would i need (no insurance, yeah not the smartest thing but ill take the risk).

I think your best bet is to go private party for a used car. Look around in the classificed (or craigslist.com) and find a model you like, test drive it, then if you like it, TAKE IT IN FOR A USED CAR CHECK (usually less than $50).Then look it up online (kelly blue book) and then make an offer on the car based on the price you find.
You'll get the most for your money this way.

under 18 your not gonna get a loan from nobody unless your lucky and mommy and daddy can give you some money, and like the other guy said, any bank that gives you a loan is going to require you to have full coverage on the car until the loan is payed off, and just to tell you, go to a dealer for your first car, and get it inspected by a independent mechanic, it might cost you twenty bucks but it could save you thousands in the end if you screw up and buy a junker, get stuck with a loan on a car that doesnt run. and ps, dont buy a 2000 lincoln ls, buy a 2003 or above!What are the best and cheapest used cars to buy '?
