Buying Theft Salvaged vehicle.?

Question:
i found a killer deal on one of my dream cars. a honda s2000. 2004 with 37k miles on it. the catch is of course its been salvaged but the salvage is theft/recovery. this small dealership is selling it for about 16k when these cars retail at about 24k.

Where can i buy a cheap American car?

should i go for this s2k? or look for an older model, with like 50k miles and a clean title?

Personally, I would never buy a car with a salvaged title. Even if it's in mint condition, there's so much negative stigma attached to "salvaged"... first the warranty is voided. second banks don't give loans for it... third the insurance company refuses to insure it. fourth when you try to resell no one wants it because of it.

Ebay-sell a car?

Too many risks... and the prices isn't even that good. If it were 50% of wholesale value then I'd consider it but at $16k, you can find S2000 with a clear title priced similarly.

If the seller can not provide you with a clean title, don't buy it.

Which credit bureau predominantly do car dealers check when buying a new car?

I have purchased some good theft recovery vehicles. Besides being sure to check everything out really well, I would go for it. The only drawback, is that with a salvage title, if you were ever to resell, the value of the car goes way down.

Can anyone tell me if it is easier to buy a moped online or in stores?

I sell cars for a very large dealer. I would say it sounds too good to be true... Also, when you go to trade the vehicle in at some point, a dealer is going to see that salvage record and give you a lot less for your vehicle than you think its worth and in the end, you will lose money... Keep looking around and find one with a clean title... Good luck

Where can I sell my car to? What are the things need to look into? pls help and thank you.?

I would not touch it ..if it was stolen you know the no good thief drove the s**t out of it,...you may be getting a high dollar head ache , salvage is a politically correct term for junk..it has most likely been crashed then rebuilt for sale to an unwary sucker..I would not let them play you...that car has major issues ,it may even never keep an alignment or worse a lot worse..16,000 is a lot for a headache.if you want a lot of head ache ,and problems get a married woman (or underage girlfriend) ,and save your money for a different car..That's what I would do
