How much should I spend on a new or used car?

My credit history is horrible, but currently I'm making about $2000 a week, so it can be repaired. I really need a car. I would love a nice luxury car like a Mercedes, Infinity, or Jaguar. Could I truly afford it? My rent is $800, and my other expenses are low.

it's always good to remember that nothing is secure, you could have a great job one day, and the company could go bankrupt, and everything you thought you could afford is gone, if you job is easily replaceable go for it, but i personally think that in 5-10 years were going to be forced to switch to hi-breads, did you no you get a tax's rite off every year for having a hi-bread, i think you can right off some wear around 1100$.
